Australian Genealogy Directory

I often use Coraweb.com.au or Cyndislist.com as references when doing family history. They both provide reliable links to other sources of material. Recently I came across Barry Leadbeater's Australian Genealogy Directory. This is another good website for online family history resources. Barry organises his links under Australia wide, State by State and even world resources. He does not provide the same explanatory notes as Cora Num, which are invaluable to beginners (and even to those that have been at it awhile), but is still a useful set of resources organised by subject. The website originally began as site to find information about South Australians, but has evolved to provide a much more comprehensive collection of resources.

Manly Cemetery

When many people show me holiday snaps these days, it is very likely to be a photo of a family history buff standing beside a grave in a cemetery they have visited on their travels. No matter how many you have seen they are still interesting. Have you searched for relatives in Manly Cemetery? Grave registers for Manly Cemetery may be searched online at http://www.manly.nsw.gov.au/library/local-studies-collection/cemetery . Maps of Manly cemetery are also available.
